Dungeons & Dragons Upcoming Charity Event Is STACKED With Talent

Wizards of the Coast is hosting an online Dungeons & Dragons charity event for Red Nose Day with a star-studded roster of celebrity guests.

Wizards of the Coast is hosting an upcoming Dungeons & Dragons charity event called D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage for Red Nose Day that will feature a star-studded cast of actors, athletes, and celebrities to preview the latest D&D storyline and more. Red Nose Day is a movement that aims to help children in the United States and around the world get out of poverty through the power of entertainment.

Red Nose Day has raised over $200 million since it began in 2015, helping nearly 25 million children in the process. Last year the campaign partnered with TV host and comedian Stephen Colbert and popular voice actor and Critical Role dungeon master Matthew Mercer to run a special D&D campaign for Red Nose Day. The organization has also worked with the likes of actor and comedian Jack Black, actor Clark Gregg, actor and comedian Flula Borg, streamer Pokimane, YouTuber Alanah Pearce, and more.

This year, the organization has partnered with Wizards of the Coast and Dungeons & Dragons for D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage to help children who have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. According to the D&D website, the event is “bringing D&D’s brightest stars to this virtual table to preview the latest D&D storyline with live gaming sessions, all while raising money for Red Nose Day to help children affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.” The event will also host several D&D product reveals and deep dive panels with representatives from the Dungeons and Dragons team.

The details of the upcoming event, which will be held from June 18 to 20, are also featured on the website and shows off the different campaigns which will be played as well as the celebrity guests joining the event. Some of the guests include actors and actresses such as Karen Gillan, David Harbour, and Brandon Routh, WWE superstars including Alexa Bliss, Tyler Breeze, and Xavier Woods, comedians Thomas Middleditch, Brian Posehn, and Kevin Sussman, and more. Wizards of the Coast will also be selling event apparel and a special adventure created specifically for Red Nose Day with all the proceeds going to charity organization.

D&D Live 2020: Roll w/ Advantage is a great initiative that exponentially expands on last year’s event with the inclusion of Stephen Colbert and Matthew Mercer. The three-day event is a great way to not only encourage fans of Dungeons & Dragons to contribute to Red Nose Day but to also introduce even more people to Dungeons & Dragons. It will also be interesting to see how the wide range of celebrities involved in the event react to the game and play their respective characters in Dungeons & Dragons.
